“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” – Malcolm X I spent this week at the KAOSPILOT ‘Art & Craft of Designing and Facilitating Learning Spaces’ Course – a 3-day masterclass exploring student-centric methodologies and experiential learning to inspire design for creativity, innovation and risk in enterprise skill-based education delivery models.
Started in 1991, #Kaospilot is a hybrid business and design school in Aarhus, Denmark, which sits at the forefront of educational reform generating action, empathy and engagement.
Combining practice, reflection and theory to deliver transformative education, Kaospilot is guided by a polymath approach to leadership and entrepreneurship – with a focus on social innovation.
Teaching programmes are not designed to shape students to fit the future, but to help them CREATE IT.
This course was powerful, hands on and enabled a collision of diverse ideas for pedagogical and methodological change, plus a chance to work in sprint teams to push into stretch zones and get inside the ‘learners mindset’.
I can’t wait to unleash this learning on girledworld future program design and delivery, to put students right at the centre of what we do.
